Youth Awareness Seminars
Youth Engagement is a component of the project ‘Generating Data to Advance Women’s Social and Economic Well Being’ in which awareness raising seminars are being conducted in selected district colleges of all 36 districts of Punjab. The purpose of these seminars is to disseminate information about women rights, legal and other initiatives of Government of the Punjab, redressal mechanisms available against complaints and issues related to socio-economic development of women in Punjab. In this regard twelve colleges of six district were covered in Quarter 1. While in Quarter 2, 16 male colleges and 11 female colleges were covered in their respective districts. Our committed team completed these colleges across Punjab in one month in Quarter 2, which were planned to be covered in three months. The key challenge that was faced in Quarter 2 while conducting seminars in female colleges was the availability of students, as Board and University Examinations were being conducted at that time.
